A Beacon of Truth in a Darkened World
In an age where shadows lengthen across the landscape of childhood, Lumen Christi Academy stands as a sanctuary of light—where the eternal wisdom of Holy Mother Church illuminates young minds and hearts with unwavering clarity.
We do not merely educate; we consecrate these formative years to the restoration of all things in Christ. While modern education fractures the soul through relativism and utility, we reunite faith and reason in their divinely-ordained harmony. Here, within these hallowed walls, children discover their true inheritance as baptized souls made for heavenly glory.
This painting is set into the ceiling in the lobby of our school building— in this photo, it is still in progress.
As we expand from our current program to serve kindergarten through twelfth grade students, we remain committed to our founding principle: "True to the faith...fair to the family."
Rooted in Thomistic principles, our goal is to provide an education oriented toward God, where faith and reason are integrated, and the pursuit of truth is the goal of all learning. We seek to form students in mind, body, and soul through a comprehensive educational approach that prepares them not merely for this world, but for eternity.
Our Three Pillars
Classical Education
● Students are formed in a traditionally authentic Catholic environment, utilizing a well-established, classical Catholic curriculum mentored by Priests and professional educators
● Course offerings include: Science, Mathematics, English, History, Catechism, Philosophy, and Latin
● Daily guided discussions help students communicate effectively and logically through spoken and written word
● Students become lifelong learners, hungry for wisdom and dedicated to seeking what is good, true, and beautiful
● Critical thinking and analysis skills are developed with an understanding of how all things relate to their final cause in God
● Our curriculum is accessible to students of all levels of academic ability
● The one-room schoolhouse feel provides opportunities for peer-to-peer mentoring
Formation of the Whole Person
● Mind: Classical education in the classroom challenges students intellectually through Socratic discussion and clear articulation of ideas
● Body: Located at Sanctus Ranch on 32 acres of property with volleyball, basketball, gaga ball, and open fields for soccer and football; partnership with LIFE Runners pro-life running club
● Soul: Daily Mass and Adoration; guidance from Catholic Priests who support students in their academic and spiritual journey
Unapologetically Catholic
● Daily celebration of the Mass of the Ages
● All educators pledge an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church
● 100% Catholic in teaching
● Annual courses in Catechism (using the Catechism of the Council of Trent and Baltimore Catechism), Philosophy, and Latin
● Regular access to Reconciliation, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and Stations of the Cross
● Spiritual direction and religious vocational counseling available to all students
● Two separate weeks of boarding school during the year for spiritual retreat and student bonding
